This is a unique Left hand side 'MOLLE Plate' kit for the Land Rover Discovery 3/4.
We have a couple of design options for these molle plates - this is a 'full grid' design.
So, what is a MOLLE Plate? MOLLE an acronym for MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.
It is essentially a modular system that allows for the attachment of various accessories (a system that was developed and widely used in the armed forces).
Note: You will need to have the Discovery roof rails fitted to install these molle plates as they use the rails as top mounting points.
The plate itself is made in the UK from 3mm aluminium (so it's lightweight) and powder coated in Black.
This listing is for a molle plate kit to mount on the LEFT side of the vehicle (UK passenger side/nearside) - see our other listing to purchase the right hand side.
In this kit, you will receive:
- 'Grid Design' Left-hand aluminium Molle Plate in Powder Coated Black
- Drilling template
- Full fixing kit (note this kit is not supplied with black stainless steel eyenuts)
These molle plates are relatively easy to fit with some basic skills - you will need to drill your bodywork underneath the rear window to install the rivnuts for the bottom mounting blocks.
We do not recommend fitting more than 15Kg to the molle plate.
These are custom made in the UK under the HSX name which is a Powerful UK brand.
Note: The grid design molle plate does not have the mounting holes to mount a Defender side gear carrier (the 'mix' design does have these holes).
