This is a side gear box molle plate for the Land Rover Defender L663.

So, what is a MOLLE Plate? MOLLE an acronym for MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.

It is essentially a modular system that allows for the attachment of various accessories (a system that was developed and widely used in the armed forces).

This molle plate mounts inside the side gear box (where the net is) and will give you a handy and easily accessible mounting point for gear pouches/tools/torch/lights/camping equipment etc.

There are many molle compatible bags and pouches on the market which can be used with this item.

The plate itself is made in the UK from 3mm aluminium (so it's lightweight) and powder coated in a satin green finish (which is actually a pretty close match to Land Rover's Grasmere Green - as used on the 75th anniversary) or a Satin Black Finish.

You will receive a fitting kit with the plate (you'll need to remove the box from your vehicle to fit this plate).

The vertical slots are compatible with the Ikea Skadis range of accessories (hangers,hooks,bungee cords etc).

This item in compatible with our folding picnic table clips - see part number LRDI062.

Fitting details

Please note that the fitting kit supplied is suitable for the conventional mounting method on the right hand side. If you have your box mounted to a molle plate you may need to source some longer M6 bolts.
