Bonnet & Tailgate Gas Strut Kit (x4)
for Land Rover Freelander 2
This listing is for a complete kit (x4) of top quality gas struts for the bonnet and tailgate on the Land Rover Freelander 2.
Gas struts are notorious for losing their mojo which can lead to the bonnet/tailgate not staying up or becoming hard to open.
Changing your struts is one of those jobs you'll be glad you did - sometimes you don't realise how bad they've got until you renew them!
This strut kit can be used to replace and refresh the 2 struts on the bonnet as well as the 2 struts on the tailgate of the Land Rover Freelander 2.
These are German made Stabilus Lift-O-Mat struts - exactly the same as supplied by Land Rover (they just don't have the Land Rover logo printed on).
The bonnet struts have 410nm of lifting power each and the tailgate struts have 520nm of lifting power (beware of cheap aftermarket alternatives).
To purchase these struts from from Land Rover would be around £40 each (so approx £160 for this kit!).
This is a simple DIY project that only takes 10 minutes - we have done fitting videos below to show you how to do it!
If you don't want to replace all of the struts we also sell the bonnet and tailgate kits individually - see our other listings to purchase these.
These are genuine Stabilus gas struts.
