LED Headlight and Sidelight Upgrade Kit
for Smart Fortwo (450)

This is a an LED headlight and sidelight upgrade kit for the Smart Fortwo 450 models.

This kit includes a pair of LED H7 headlight bulbs ( dipped beam ) PLUS a pair of LED side light bulbs.

The sidelight bulbs are white 2W LED 6SMD (6 surface mounted diodes per bulb).

These are the latest generation of LED headlight bulbs that use the Philips "LumiLED" led chips. These LED's are very bright and very small meaning they can give a light output very similar to the original H7 bulb giving a very controlled beam pattern.

As you can see from the pictures there are 4 LED's on each side of the bulb - so 8 LED per bulb.

The light output in lumens from a standard H7 bulb is 1000 -1400 so these LED bulbs rated at 6000 Lumens are roughly 3 times brighter for half the electrical power consumed.

The colour temperature for the headlight bulbs are 6500 kelvin.

The rear black heatsink can be unscrewed to help when fitting these bulbs and is also reversible.

The mounting "collar" on these bulbs is adjustable ( with allen key supplied ) so you can fine tune the position / rotation of the LED light source to give the best output in your headlight.

Please note: HID and LED technology is advancing quickly and legislation is struggling to keep up. According to current legislation, HID and high power LED headlights should only be installed in vehicles equipped with headlight wash and self-levelling systems.  If your vehicle does not have these features installed then we advise you should refer to the latest VOSA MOT guidance.

These bulbs can be used for RHD ( UK, japan etc ) and LHD ( USA, France etc ) cars as it is the headlamp reflector shape ( not the bulb ) that sets the beam pattern.

Note: There is a slight modifcation needed to accommodate the wiring of the new H7 headlights (with a simple drill) - we are including some silicone to weather seal afterwards!

Included in this kit is:

• 2 x H7 LED headlight bulbs and controllers
• 2 x WHITE LED 2W 6SMD sidelight bulbs
• 1 x Tube of silicone to weather seal your connection
