This is Makita battery adapter for the Starlink Mini which mounts on the expedition roof rack for the Land Rover Defender L663.
This can be used in conjunction with our Starlink Mini mount and will allow you to use a Makita battery to power your Starlink Mini.
This setup is great for remote camping/offroading where remote access may be needed and without risking draining your car battery !
Note: Starlink may not run off of your vehicles 12v supply so using the higher power 18v Makita battery is a good solution.
We calculated the Starlink Mini uses around 1.7Ah - so a 3Ah battery should give you around 2 hours of use.
You could also use a Makita battery car charger to charge the battery while the vehicle is in use to keep it topped up.
This kit includes:
- Custom designed 3D printed mount for expedition roof rack
- Aftermarket Makita battery to Starlink adapter
- Bolts to attach adapter to mount
Makita battery not included.
This is designed specifically for the expedition roof rack only - it will not fit the cross bars as they are a slightly different profile (see other listing for cross bar mount).
The mount simply snaps into place onto the bar.
This is not a genuine Land Rover/Starlink/Makita item.
