This listing is for a plug and play power tap-in loom plus USB-C adapter for the Land Rover Freelander 2 2007 -2012 models.

This kit will give you a male USB-C (5v) port with ignition live connection in the roof-space area above the overhead console which can be used to install a dashcam.

This custom made tap-in loom simply plugs into the front overhead console and is pre-soldered to a USB port adapter to give you a high power (3amp) male 'USB-C' plug (5V) which you can plug into a dashcam.

This is a plug and play solution - so no alterations are required to your vehicles wiring.

The power is live when the car is 'awake' - so it is live when you unlock your car and remains active for approximately 30 minutes after you lock your car - until your vehicle shuts down into 'sleep mode'.

NOTE - Maximum power output is 15w ( 3 Amps at 5 Volts ) so make sure your USB device is not rated above 15W / 3 Amps

This kit is ideal to wire in a dash-cam as it puts power to where you'll mount the camera without having to route any long wires round the screen (plus you'd still need to find somewhere to take power from).

We will also supply you with a 'chisler' trim tool to aid removing your overhead console.

NOTE - sometimes USB power supplies can cause radio interference - we have tested this on our car and there are no issues - if you notice any issue please contact us so we can review / improve the design.

This item WILL NOT fit the Land Rover Freelander 2 facelift model from 2012 - 2014
