Enhance your Land Rover Defender L663 by fitting this bonnet decal.

The general feedback from selling the genuine bonnet decal was that it is too short.

In Land Rover's defence the sticker is intended to be an anti-glare sticker and the short version they sell does serve this purpose well but it just looks a little short!

With this in mind, we have made our own version which is longer to completely cover the 'hump' and bring it in line with the side panels - much better!

We cut these ourselves, here in the UK so are able to offer them at a great price compared to the genuine item.

The vinyl used in this kit is 190 micron thick automotive grade with a matte black textured finish.

The purpose of these bonnet decals is to help prevent against glare from your bonnet, especially when off-roading.

However, these just make a nice addition to your Defender as they look really cool.

Included in this genuine kit is:

• Main bonnet sticker
• 90, 110 & 130 inserts - fit whichever one depending on your model
• Squeegee application tool
• Cutter (to slice the backing when applying)
• Alcohol based surface preparation wipe

We have made a video (see below) of us fitting this decal to our own project Defender 110.

To match this bonnet decal we have also created our own decal for the floating side panels (or signature graphic as Land Rover call it) - see item VNL110 to purchase this.

This is a wet-application vinyl, so it is really easy to fit as you can adjust and reposition until you are happy with the placement - then just squeegee the water out.

We recommend using a mix of water and a little baby shampoo.

You just need to supply your own water, spray bottle and baby shampoo.

Fitting Details

It is important to start with clean paint - any dirt on your bodywork will be magnified and appear as bumps in the decal.

Tip: Usually tar spots are left behind after washing, these can be felt as small bumps at the finger tips - use a light compound polish, tar remover or clay bar to remove.

Use the supplied alcohol wipe as a final clean to remove contaminants before applying the decal.
