Rear LED Light Strip - Smoked Strip

(for vehicles with reverse camera)

This is a rear light strip assembly for the Range Rover Sport L494.

This light strip has a smoked lens giving a black appearance when the light is off and illuminated red when it is on (we also sell this item with a red lens - see our other listing).

In comparison to the red lens version, this smoked light has a slightly reduced light output but still looks great when illuminated.

The light functions as tail light i.e. on when the headlights are on but can also be wired to function as an additional brake light (shines brighter when brakes are applied).

Upon vehicle start up the light strip fades up, and then on vehicle power down it 'shrinks' to the centre from the outer edges.

This light assembly comes finished in painted gloss black with an integral LED light strip.

This light assembly replaces the trim panel that sits above the number plate and houses the reversing camera and number plate lights.

The standard trim panel is usually silver (Black with 'Black Pack' or Carbon on SVR) so this light is a nice change in itself by just removing the silver.

We've worked with our lighting partner to produce a light strip with a high LED count that produces smooth dynamic fade and animation.

This light assembly is suitable for vehicles with a reversing camera - if you do not have a camera please see our other listing that includes a blanking plate.

You will need to do some basic DIY work to tap this light into your vehicles wiring but we supply you with everything you need, and there is a step-by-step fitting video below - although we supply snap on connectors we recommend soldering the connections.

IMPORTANT: It should be noted that with some types of reversing camera you can see this light bar at the top of the screen - see photo for illustration.

Note: If for any reason you find that you start to have radio interference / reduction in radio performance after installing this product, we suggest disconnecting the earth light wire to see if this resolves the issue. If this does resolve the issue, then please do get in contact with us so we can supply a ferrite to you.

You just re-use your existing fitting clips but we also include 2 spare clips (small type) just in case any break when you are changing the trim assembly over.

This item WILL fit Range Rover Sport L494 (2014 onward including the 2018 facelift models)

This item WILL NOT fit any older Range Rover Sport models.
