Rear Brake Upgrade + Refurb Kit

for Land Rover Discovery 3 Diesel

After doing this on our own project Land Rover Discovery 3 we think we have worked out the best kit for doing this job and have included all the parts we wished we had when we did this !

The petrol model of the Discovery 3 (uncommon in UK) was actually fitted with larger discs than the diesel model (350mm diameter on petrol vs 325mm on diesel).

You can use this kit to upgrade your diesel ( 2.7L TDV6 ) Discovery 3 rear brakes to larger (petrol) drilled and grooved discs.

So this is a double upgrade - bigger discs and also drilled and grooved.

The main objective of this kit is to make sure you get the best rear brake setup on your car and have all the little bits on hand to do the job yourself.

The main "upgraded" parts of this kit are the larger Drilled and Grooved brake discs which help improve stopping - ideal if you have a caravan or tow a trailer etc.

In this kit we have included all the little bits like the new retaining screws and clips etc.

So what do you get in this kit....

• Discs - A pair of upgraded 350mm drilled and grooved brake discs
• Pads - A set of upgraded EBC Ultimax 2 brake pads (UK made, low noise)
• Pad shims - A set of 4 new spring shims
• Caliper carriers - A pair of new caliper carriers with new sliders + bellows (needed when upgrading to these larger brakes)
• Sensor - A new brake pad sensor wire and new retaining clip
• Adjuster dust caps - x2 new dust caps for the handbrake adjuster hole in the brake disc
• Retaining Screws - A Pair of new countersunk disc retaining screws

So this kit is not going to be the cheapest but will include all you need - we think this is the most comprehensive kit available !

Please note these parts are not painted red - we painted this kit red for our own project car !
