These connectors are made by a US company called "AMP" and they are used extensively in the automotive industry by companies like Land Rover and Toyota etc.

They are also used in many Bosch applications.

NOTE - This plugs over a SQUARE mating connector - there is a similar one that has rounded edges ( more oval in shape )

These looms are made with silicone seals where the wires go into the back of the connector and this is to stop water ingress that leads to corrosion of the contacts.

These connectors are also used on many other connections on cars - typically to connector to sensors etc and so you may want to purchase this loom to replace a part of a damaged witing loom on your car.
