Upgrade the headlights in your Jaguar E Type to these new Crystal Halogen headlights.

This listing is for a PAIR of headlights with plastic lenses ready to fit into your E-Type.

These lights are RHD ( Right Hand Drive - UK / Japan etc ) MOT passing headlights with the correct UK beam pattern.

The light pattern is set by the reflector not by the lens (as on original headlights) so the lens is smooth giving a cleaner sharper appearance to the lights.

In addition these lights have a tough polycarbonate lens as used on most modern cars.

These lamps are not supplied with a sidelight fitting - see our other item (HL857) for the version with the sidelight.

These really are the next stage on from the quadoptic headlight that was so popular in the 80's and 90's

The evolution of the headlight is really as follows..

1) Pre-focused - low power bulb and poor reflector

2) Sealed Beam - Improved but low colour temperature. The bulb is part of the unit and not changeable.

3) Halogen Conversion - Here this is an upgrade in the bulb to a changeable H4 type bulb and this is the technology used for the "quadoptic" headlights and on later Defenders etc.

4) Crystal Halogen - This uses the same H4 bulb as above but the light has a complex reflector to set the light pattern - as used on the vast majority of modern cars.

These lights give up to 25% more light output than standard headlights even using the same bulb !

ALL new cars use this new technology for the headlights and this is one major reason modern cars have much better lights

In addition to the better technology the reflector on these lights are made from plastic and so will not rust or corrode like the older metal ones.

The lens is a tough plastic lens with anti-scratch coating.

These lights use Halogen H4 bulbs which may fitted already to your old headlights but you may want to consider upgrading these as well at the same time - see our Osram "NightBreaker plus" H4 bulbs.

These lights are not E Marked but are RHD MOT passing lights.

These lights will fit into Lucas metal bowls also Lucas and wipac type plastic bowls.

Fitting Details
