P38 "L322 look" Rear Light Conversion Kit

Range Rover P38 upto 2002

A lot of people are now fitting the later L322 front headlights and panels to the Range Rover P38 with stunning results but to date there has not been a cost effective solution for updating the rear of the Range Rover P38. To satisfy this demand we have spent the last 6 months developing a rear end conversion kit. This idea of the kit is to get as close to the appearance of the L322 for minimum cost and effort. This conversion does not require any cutting of your panel work.

The kit uses Landrover Defender rear lights ( NAS type ) fitted into specially molded rear light housing panels. These panels can be painted silver to look similar to the L322 light clusters or they can be painted body colour.

This Rear Light Conversion kit consists of the lamp panels and lamps only, it does not include the tailgate conversion panel or the reverse lamps, these can be purchased separately in our other kits.

Full wiring instructions are included in the kit.

Looking at the prices on eBay for P38's with L322 conversions it should be possible to recoup all the costs of this upgrade if you decide to sell your car.

This Rear Lamp Kit includes

1x LH rear light housing molded from fiberglass designed to take NAS type rear lights. This is unpainted.

1x RH rear light housing molded from fiberglass designed to take NAS type rear lights. This is unpainted.

1x LH rear light inner blanking panel

1x RH rear light inner blanking panel

Silicone sealer to seal around rear light blanking plates / wiring connections.

Bolts to bolt in rear light clusters ( M6 x 100 coach bolts ).

Bolts to bolt blanking plate into location

2 x RED NAS type lights ( stop tail ) including bulbs wiring and connectors.

2 x CLEAR NAS type lights ( Indicator ) including bulbs ( chrome but flash orange ) and wiring and connectors

What else will you need to purchase to complete your conversion

Paint to paint the parts as required.

This kit is just the rear light kit - this kit does not make any changes to the tailgate or tailgate mounted lights.

Fitting Details

The rear lights bolt into place - no cutting or bonding required

Some adjustment of the rear tailgate catch may be needed - fitting a washer under the catch is one solution.
