This is the tool required for Fitting the side bars onto a Freelander 1.

Many people have found that they are having difficulty getting a Rivnut / Nutsert tool and so we have produced these simple to use tools.

The tool is basically a washer welded to a stick but one face of the washer is brass ( low friction ) and the other is knurled steel ( high friction )

The tool is placed over a fitting bolt and then tightened into the rivnut.

As the bolt is tightened the head of the bolt becomes tight up against the tool and then as you tighten the rivnut will compress as the bolt is tightened.

This is a simple and effective tool and it has the advantage it can be used in tight places.
