This roof kit is similar to the roof rack used on the top of the range Nissan trucks and can be fitted to the Hilux Mk6 and Mk7 with stunning results.

This listing is for the 2 polished stainless steel side roof bars ( 51mm diameter ), the 2 front feet and gaskets and the 2 rear feet and gaskets and the full fitting kit.

If you have the SMM hardtop then this rack creates a level platform across the whole roof - ideal for ladders etc.

NOTE - this listing does NOT include the 2 aluminium cross bars

You will need an M6 rivnut tool to fit this to the roof - we have these available - see our other listings (I have listed these in our Ebay so please take a look).

The over all length from where the front mounts to the car to where the back mounts to the car is 133cm approx. The height to the top of the bar from the roof surface is 13cm approx.

Fitting Details

This roof bar kits fits by using rivnuts. This involves drilling the roof of your truck and inserting the rvinuts. These are then compressed to form a watertight secure anchor points for the feet to be bolted to. There is no need to remove the headlining of your truck and these can be fitted in an hour no problem. The Rivnuts are "blind" meaning that they are closed at the bottom meaning that you can unbolt the roof bars and the truck will still be watertight.

Safety

This kit is not designed to carry weights heavier than 50Kg or loads that will put a load greater than 50Kg on the roof rack ( large objects likely to cause wind loading / traveling at speeds greater than 50 MPH etc ). This kit should be installed by a competent mechanic ensuring that the rivnuts are correctly and securely installed and fittings should be checked regularly. Any loads must be secured to the main roof rails. Long overhanging loads (like ladders) must have additional support, for example on canopy top roof bars, etc. The roof bar will increase the height of your vehicle – take care when entering multi-storey car parks etc.

This item WILL NOT fit the Hilux Single or King cab models.
