Our tow bar overhaul kits have been extremely popular but we had some requests for the "red part" so we have made it available for sale.

Land Rover don't actually sell this part separately so we manufactured it - otherwise you would need to buy a complete tow hitch assembly!

This is a companion part to our refurb kit which includes a new lock mechanism that interlocks with this part to form a ratchet - see our part number TOW532 to purchase the refurb kit.

This replaces the red ratchet cog on the tow hitch of the Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 (...please read below as there are 2 types of lock assembly fitted to the Discovery 3&4).

The item has been 3D printed in PA2200 Nylon which is the high-end industry standard due to its accuracy and strength.

Included in the kit is:

• 1 x Replacement ratchet cog
• 2 x New fitting bolts

Please note: There are 2 type of lock assembly that are fitted to the Discovery 3 & 4 - small type or large type [ This part is suitable the LARGE type ] . Please check which you have before ordering (see photos).

If there is any damage to your tow bar / mechanism you should not use it - serious damage can arise from using a faulty tow bar !

This is not a genuine Land Rover item (it is not available from Land Rover).

Which Vehicles will this fit ?

This item will fit all Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 (all models from 2005 -2016 with the LARGE type lock)
