High Power H4 LED Headlight Bulb Kit

This listing is for a PAIR of H4 LED bulbs complete with control circuits.

Please Note the latest UK Gov MOT guidance states that -

'Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp' .... 'This applies to vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986'. Therefore these bulbs are only for road use in vehicles first used before 1 April 1986. For all vehicles first used after this date these bulbs can be used for off-road or show use ONLY.

The H4 bulb has double filaments inside the lamp and produces light for the MAIN and DIPPED beam headlamp functions.

We have designed these bulbs so that the DIPPED beam LED's stay on when the MAIN beam is used - we have designed this feature specially and is not a standard feature on LED bulb . Having the dipped beam stay on when main beam is selected is not possible on halogen headlights for two reasons, firstly the bulb takes too much power for the electrical circuit and secondly the bulb get too hot and fails.

These are the latest generation of LED headlight bulbs that use high power "LED" led chips. These LED's are very bright and very small meaning they can give a light output very similar to the original H4 bulb giving a very controlled beam pattern.

Although not clear from the pictures there are 8 LED's on each side of the bulb - so 16 LED per bulb. 8 of these are used for DIPPED beam and all 16 for MAIN beam.

The light output in lumens from a standard H4 bulb is 1000 -1400 so these are roughly 3 times brighter for half the electrical power consumed. The colour temperature for these bulbs are 6500 kelvin.

No changes to wiring are needed to fit these bulbs - they plug and play to the current wiring.

These bulbs can be used for RHD ( UK, japan etc ) and LHD ( USA, France etc ) cars as it is the headlamp reflector shape ( not the bulb ) that sets the beam pattern.

Please note: In some instances these bulbs have been known to cause radio interference.

Fitting Details

Remove the rubber cap from the back of the headlight and then remove the 2 pin electrical connector.

The bulb is held in place with a wire clip - release the clip and the bulb can then be removed.

The front plate on the bulb can be adjusted to achieve optimum beam pattern.

Which Vehicles will this fit ?

These bulb will fit any vehicle with H4 bulbs
